Gender Equity - Inter-institutional comparisonsQUT produces reports on its gender equity performance for senior professional and academic women in relation to other institutions using selected inter-institutional gender equity statistics provided by DEEWR. This cross-institutional comparison is based on parameters from the UA Second AVCC Action Plans for Women in Australian Universities. The amended reports are below.
Student equity reportsEach year, QUT measures the progress of student equity groups and reports the findings externally to DEEWR and internally to the QUT community. 2010 Student Equity Report [PDF] Each year, QUT monitor attrition rates which provide a measure of the proportion of students who ‘drop out’ of QUT each year. Attrition rates are one of a range of indicators used to measure performance at QUT. As such they should be viewed in conjunction with other indicators such as access, participation and retention rates (see Student Equity Report) to obtain a full picture of performance. QUT offers a large scale program of scholarships for low-income students. In order to determine the impact that the scholarships have, and to gain feedback about the scheme, surveys of the recipients have been conducted annually since 2005.
