Orientation information for staff and students

Faculties and divisions are encouraged to provide equity-related information to all new staff within QUT.
The University provides various avenues by which new and existing staff can obtain equity-related information. These include:

• Orientation presentations and resources for staff and students provided by the Equity Section. Click here to download orientation resources.
  
• QUT's induction program Welcome to QUT, hosted by the Human Resources Department. This one-day induction program is highly recommended for all new staff and includes a session on Equity and Indigenous issues at QUT. Click here for induction program sessions and details.
  
• Equity Orientation Packs for new staff. Supervisors can request orientation packs from the Equity Section for new staff in their division or faculty. New staff may also request this information directly. To obtain an orientation pack, contact the Equity Section.

Staff Networks

Staff networks and email groups provide an opportunity for QUT's diverse staff community to gather equity-related information relevant to their interests on a professional and personal level. Staff networks encourage exchange ideas information and views; intellectual debate; allow consultation on projects and sharing of expertise.Click here for more information on the range of staff equity networks available at QUT, and how to subscribe to them.

Training & Development
