The Equity Section provides a range of publications, information and resources for distribution to staff and students. Such information on equity-related issues and activities ensures that equity maintains a high profile in all facets of the organisation.

The Equity Section communicates to QUT staff and students through a variety of media to keep them informed of equity-related issues. These include:

• Updates on the latest legislation and information from Government and other agencies;
• a regular print and electronic newsletter, Equity News;
• a number of staff email networks;
• a range of brochures and other publications to raise awareness of equity-related issues and services for staff and students;
• support for staff, especially managers and supervisors through regular equity training and development opportunities; and
• information for students such as staff and student orientation materials.
