2008 Mid-year Equity Bursaries

Students have now been notified about the outcome of their bursary application via email. Payments have been made via electronic transfer to all applicant's nominated bank accounts. If successful applicants have not received payment they should contact Anna King on 3138 0074.

2009 Applications for Equity Scholarships Scheme

All  current and prospective QUT students who wish to apply for  the QUT Equity  Scholarship  Scheme in 2009, including  Commonwealth Scholarships, Equity Scholarships and Bursaries, will need to apply via an online application form available  at the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) website. Applications have opened.

Please note that Commonwealth Scholarship (these are ongoing for up to 4 years) holders don't need to re-apply!

Please visit the QTAC website to apply on-line. On-time applications should be submitted by the end of October 2008.

Ongoing, current QUT students will need to apply by going to the QTAC website, selecting the 'Scholarships tab' in the middle of the page and then completing the Application Form. On time applications are due by late October. Click here for further details

This process applies to all  scholarship applicants, so if you plan to either commence or continue your studies at QUT in 2009, you must use the QTAC online scholarship application process to be considered for QUT's Equity Scholarship Scheme. The  majority of scholarship offers will be made by late January 2009, and students who are offered a scholarship will be required to provide supporting documentation to QUT before their scholarship can be confirmed.

Students who are not successful in the major scholarship round will be reconsidered in another scholarship round closer to the start of semester 1.

If you require assistance in lodging the online Equity Scholarship application, or don't have a computer for use, a computer has been set up in the Kelvin Grove Equity Office, located at C301.  You may visit anytime between 9:00am and 4:30pm, weekdays, where there will be a staff member on hand to answer any questions.  There's no need to make an appointment!

Other Scholarships

Students are also encouraged to apply for the various other scholarships made available through QUT including the Law Founder's Scholarship, Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship, Dean's Scholars programs and the Faculty-based scholarships.
