QUT encourages diversity amongst its prospective students by providing entry
programs to assist people from all walks of life to enter the university course
of their choice. QUT understands that social and economic factors may have affected
or delayed progression to tertiary study; and/or that applicants bring a diverse
range of skills and experiences that are not reflected by formal studies.
What Equity Entry programs are available?
QUT has a number of entry programs to assist certain groups to enter university
and provides additional support measures to students while studying at QUT.
Prospective students who do not meet standard enrolment criteria to enter
the University's programs may be eligible under alternative entry programs.
These programs include:
- Oodgeroo Unit entry (Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander students)
- Q-Step
Program (for students from low socio-economic backgrounds)
- Mature-Age
entry (for students not entering directly from high school on the basis
