Message from the Vice-Chancellor

To achieve their goals, students who have a disability need practical support from staff who understand their rights and responsibilities.

This guide will enable you to find out more about the range of disabilities encountered by our students, to understand how teaching and student services can accommodate them, and to find practical guidelines for the ways in which academic and professional staff can assist students with a disability.

QUT is enriched by the diversity of our staff and students. We aim to support and improve this diversity by ensuring that our systems and practices are fair and accessible for everybody. This guide provides one means of doing that.
