QUT's Equity
Plan identifies the provision of staff training and development programs
as an important strategy for meeting QUT's equity goals relating to student
equity and staff equity.
The Equity Section provides a range of:
- equity awareness and skills development training modules
to increase awareness of equity services and responsibilities, and to improve
skills for implementing equity
- reconciliation and cultural diversity awareness modules
to increase awareness of Indigenous issues and commitment to reconciliation,
and to increase awareness of and respect for cultural diversity, and
- career planning and development for female staff modules
to promote career development opportunities and skills for women.
The Equity Training and Development Program is designed to complement other
training and development offerings, such as the HR
Learning and Development program and the Women
in Leadership
programs.
The Equity Section also has a list of external training
providers who provide specialist training on a range of equity-related topics.
