The Indigenous Australian Employment and Career Development
Strategy was launched in July 2002. Strategy objectives include increasing employment
of Indigenous Australians to 2.6% of University staff; and
providing support for Indigenous Australians to enhance Indigenous employment
and retention rates at QUT.
In September 2002, the University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
with the south-east Queensland ATSIC regional council. Under the agreement QUT
and ATSIC will work together to boost Indigenous employment and collaborate
on a range of research and capacity building projects. For more information
