Different sexual orientation/gender identity - same rights.

QUT is committed to providing an environment which values each member of its diverse community, and protects staff and students from bullying, harassment and unlawful discrimination. This includes staff and students who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, intersex or queer (LGBTIQ).

Despite evolving community attitudes - prejudice, bias and violence against members of the LGBTIQ community - continues to exist in society. This site contains information to assist staff and students to protect their rights, gain support, and to network with other staff or students who identify as LGBTIQ.

This site also has valuable information and links for parents and friends, colleagues, managers, teachers and other staff and students within the QUT community to assist staff and students who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, intersex or queer in valuing diversity and protecting the rights of QUT's LGBTIQ community .
