About the Notetaker Program

Many teaching staff provide comprehensive notes in handouts or online however all students are encouraged to make notes during lectures and tutorials.

A Peer Notetaker Scheme exists for students who are unable to take notes in class. A student who is undertaking the same subject provides a copy of their notes to a student who has a disability.

Students who wish to receive notes should contact the Disability Adviser as soon as they have finalised their subject selection. Where it is not possible to provide a peer notetaker, students may be able to access audio recordings of lectures.

Becoming a Notetaker

The Disability Services Office seek students that are willing to take notes during lectures and provide copies of them for others. Note takers are paid $10 per hour.

To find out more about this program please contact the Equity Office on 3138 2699.
